If you know me, then you know that I LOVE to journal!
For me, journaling is the most effective way to process. It’s very therapeutic for me to write out everything I’m feeling and it gives me a little more of a realistic perspective of my situation.
For six years, I journaled every night before I went to bed. Sometimes I would write about the day, sometimes I would complain, sometimes I would dream, but I always processed.
After years of journaling, however, things began to get pretty dry and repetitive. I want to try something new and different. So I composed a thirty day challenge of things to write about for the uninspired journaling enthusiast!
And it looked like this:
Day 1: Describe five ways for someone to win your heart
Day 2: Describe something you’re passionate about
Day 3: Write about a book you love
Day 4: Bullet point your entire day
Day 5: Write about five people you admire, look up to, or are inspired by
Day 6: Describe five qualities you have that you are proud of
Day 7: Five of your biggest pet peeves
Day 8: What you aspire to be
Day 9: Describe your opinion on the importance of education
Day 10: Top five favorite songs
Day 11: Describe your family
Day 12: An insecurity you have and what you can do to overcome it
Day 13: Write about your opinion on your body and how comfortable you are with it
Day 14: Describe what you wore today
Day 15: Describe your personality
Day 16: Something you think “what if” about
Day 17: Write about something you’re proud of
Day 18: Describe a problem you had and how you faced it
Day 19: Five things you love to do
Day 20: Five fears you have
Day 21: Describe what you dream your future will look like
Day 22: Write about something God has been teaching you
Day 23: Describe something you miss
Day 24: Five words or phrases that make you laugh
Day 25: Write about something you’re waiting for
Day 26: Describe three things you like about yourself
Day 27: A quote you try to live by
Day 28: Write about a place you’d like to visit
Day 29: Five random things you like
Day 30: Write abut one thing you’re excited for
These journal prompts gave me such a new a refreshed sense of processing! I had a blast during the thirty days I did this! Try them out and let me know what you think!
